Envisioning, Designing and Operating a Gig Economies Living Lab

Digital Policy Hub Working Paper

September 24, 2024

This working paper is the second in a series that looks at how a Gig Economies Living Lab (GELL) could serve as a collaborative research hub to study the emerging digital economy based on the experiences of gig workers. Featuring a diverse group of stakeholders, including policy makers, academics, researchers, private sector companies and gig workers, the GELL would explore the needs of those who work in the gig economy and develop solutions to the economic and social issues they face. The working paper outlines two case studies of living labs in the Global North and Global South as examples.
