We are in the middle of a strategic competition for power and influence of all aspects of the Internet. A new narrative must be developed and propagated. It must appeal to national and corporate leaders articulating a simple message that communicates why a sustainable cyberspace is linked to the GDP growth for every nation. There is an opportunity for the Global Commission on Internet Governance (GCIG) to assemble a multi-stakeholder narrative that describes the importance of the Internet and the underlying technologies that are fueling our economic growth and enabling our very way of life.
In Ottawa, the GCIG will continue the work began in January 2014 in addressing this complex governance challenge.
The Global Commission on Internet Governance meeting is an invitation-only event.
