Bio
Steven Bernstein is an associate professor of political science; associate director, Centre for International Studies; and director, MA in International Affairs, University of Toronto.
His publications include: The Compromise of Liberal Environmentalism (2001); Global Liberalism and Political Order: Toward a New Grand Compromise? co-edited (2007); A Globally Integrated Climate Policy for Canada co-edited (2008); and Unsettled Legitimacy: Political Community, Power, and Authority in a Global Era co-edited (2009).
He has published refereed articles in academic journals including European Journal of International Relations, Review of International Political Economy, Journal of International Economic Law, Policy Sciences, Regulation and Governance, Canadian Journal of Political Science, and Global Environmental Politics; as well as a number of book chapters in edited volumes. His current research focuses on the problem of legitimacy in global governance.
