Bio
Miles A. Pomper is a senior research associate at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies of the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
Previously, he served as editor of Arms Control Today and lead foreign policy reporter for CQ Weekly, where he covered the full range of foreign policy issues, including arms control and proliferation concerns. He has also worked at the legi-Slate News Service and written several book chapters and analytical articles for publications such as the Foreign Service Journal and the Houston Chronicle. Mr. Pomper once served as a foreign service officer with the US Information Agency, and was assistant information officer and spokesperson of the US Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela.
Mr. Pomper holds a masters degree in international affairs from Columbia University and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
