Bio
Ivar Hartmann is an associate professor of law at the Insper Institute of Education and Research in São Paulo, Brazil. Before joining the Insper law faculty, he was an assistant (2013–2017) and associate professor (2018–2020) at the Fundação Getulio Vargas Law School in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he coordinated the Center for Technology and Society and the Legal Data Science Nucleus. His teaching and research interests cover topics such as cyberlaw, empirical legal research and constitutional law. Ivar holds an M.Sc. from the Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil; an LL.M. from Harvard Law School; and an S.J.D. from the State University of Rio de Janeiro.
