Bio
Fan He is the deputy director of the Research Center for International Finance at CASS. Fan is one of the most active economists in China. His fields of interest include the Chinese macroeconomy, international finance and international political economy.
Fan is the author or editor of 10 books and more than 100 papers in professional economic journals. During the last few years, he has worked on a broad range of issues such as RMB exchange rate policy, China‘s foreign trade and FDI policy, and financial system reform.
Fan is a consultant for the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, People’s Bank of China and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and he is deeply involved in many policy discussions. Fan is also a member of the Bellagio Group of central bankers and academics (Group of Thirty), and the chief economist of the Alternative Investment Research Center of China Society of Economic Reform. He was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2005, Asian Young Leader by the Asia Society in 2006, and Young Leader by the National Committee on US-China Relations in 2007.
