Bio
Evelyne A. Tauchnitz is a CIGI senior fellow and senior researcher at the Institute of Social Ethics ISE, University of Lucerne, Switzerland. Her expertise lies within digital technology, specifically global governance, peace and conflict research, ethics and human rights.
Evelyne is also a research associate at the Centre for Technology and Global Affairs at the University of Oxford, and a special adviser and lecturer at the Oxford Initiative of Global Ethics and Human Rights. She serves as a Multistakeholder Advisory Group member of the UN Internet Governance Forum; a Management Committee member of the Global Digital Human Rights Network, which is a part of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology; and a board member of the PeaceNexus Foundation.
Evelyne previously worked as an expert and consultant for the public sector (Swiss Parliamentary Services), civil society (Oxfam Intermon, among others) and international organizations such as UNICEF.
Evelyne holds a Ph.D. in international relations with a specialization in political science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland, and was a visiting fellow in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. Previously, she studied political science, economics and law at the University of Bern, Switzerland.
