In this Global Policy Forum presentation, Susan Aaronson, CIGI senior fellow and expert in international and digital trade, looks at data governance and its future in policy making. Susan will propose a new system for data governance, where data regulation is based on its type. She examines where Canada stands on the global scale in terms of comparative data advantage, what a shift in governance would mean and what policies should be put in place to better regulate international data flows.
