On August 25-26, 2015 the Global Commission on Internet Governance (GCIG) met in Accra, Ghana to discuss  key Internet-related challenges and opportunities in Africa, including: Sustainable Development Goals and broadband penetration; Internet, trade and economic development, and innovation; capacity building and Internet governance; Internet access as a human right. This press conference occurred on the opening day of the meeting.
