Chrystia Freeland’s decision to resign as Canada’s finance minister has shaken Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s administration and is likely to impact the coming trade fight between the United States, Canada and Mexico. BNN Bloomberg spoke with Paul Samson on the possible ways for Canada to mitigate the crisis.
“One of the key strategies here for Canada — and the US doesn’t like it — is to talk to governors directly, and senators, and say ‘Look, you export a lot of bourbon,’” says Samson.
