"Setting aside warfare, I don't think people out there are designing AI to hurt people, but in my examination, there are two important aspects to consider," [Paul] Twomey said.
"One is that we run the risk of having a set of interconnecting but anarchic processes by which AI systems draw from each other, or from databases, to produce outcomes we don't really understand, including ones that the people who run these platforms don't even understand," he said. "People at the edge will be in trouble."
